WELL WATER FOR SEMINARY

For quite some time efforts have been made at the San Andres Seminary to dig a well atop a mountain that rarely sees a rainy day. The first two attempts at digging a well by hand failed owing to the hard rock encountered part way down. More recently, another effort began using a drilling rig to perforate the unyielding rock. The drill bits broke on this newer site, bringing the project to a standstill. Finally, a fourth site was carefully selected, using satellite imagery and a much strong drill bit. In short amount of time the drill bore down to 740 feet, with a few more broken bits. Within the next few days and at 800 feet, we expect to reach an ample source of water.
Much prayer has preceded each of these efforts. God willing we will have a happy announcement to make. The parish of St. Constantine and Helen in Reading, PA has underwritten this effort with the blessing and encouragement of Archbishop Iakovos of Mexico. With a reliable source of water the San Andres Seminary will be able to grow its own crops, expand its dairy farm and develop its poultry egg business.
